Yep, you read that right folks, after sampling 2,000
plus hot sauces in my career, I have now found one that tops the charts for me. “What can this magical sauce be and
why are you wearing duct tape on your forehead” you might ask. Well, I’m hoping the duct tape on the forehead
craze catches on and the sauce I’m referring to is Ghost Pepper Sauce. I received a preview sauce in for review (along with some rare seeds which sprouted with wonderful germination rates, so
be sure to check that aspect of the business out) hence the unfinished label and here are my thoughts.
Ghost
Pepper Sauce Ingredients: Bhut Jolokia, Bush spices, other chilli.
This pours out to a
medium consistency and slightly dark orange color with splashes of spices and seeds intermixed. The taste is of instant sweetness
from the Australian Bush spices and fruit. This sweetness lingers for a good three or five seconds then gives way to the Jolokia
and what I’m pretty sure is Asian Birdseyes (those Aussies sure love their Birdseyes). I’m really loving the sweetness
here, it’s unlike anything I’ve ever had before and is hard to describe. Whatever it is, I want to know what it
is so I can grow it!
This really isn’t a complex sauce, sweet, fruity, and HOT! Not to say that’s bad, it
just isn’t trying to be a multi-leveled fancy sauce and I like that. Now, we move into the heat aspect and this thing
has it in spades (the card, not the shovel…that would just be awkward). The heat starts to hit you a second or two
after consumption then instantly smacks your in the mouth like a shovel (hey, maybe it did have one after all) and keeps ramping
up.
This is the first sauce that actually burned the top of my mouth. I’ve had back of the throat burns, middle
of the tongue burns, gum burns, and many more, but this gave me the famous hot pizza burn on the roof of my mouth in addition
to the back of the throat and all around tongue burn. This thing is mean, like, I’m going to insult your mother and
kick a puppy while I’m at it mean. The burn from one full spoonful lasted me a good 8 minutes and gave me a buzzing
endorphin rush (something that’s hard to accomplish these days)!
So there you have it, yet another fantastic product
from the Land Down Under. I have yet to be disappointed by the Aussie crowd and am starting to think that day will never come.
Let’s hope it doesn’t, I’m going back for another spoonful.
Taste: 9, Heat: 10

Scorpion Chilli Sauce
15 APRIL 2009
SCORPION CHILLI SAUCES CHILLIMANS SCORE: 9/10 Pro: Scorpion Blood was SUPERHOT goodness, fresh, and
with the heat building and peaking toward the back of the mouth & nice lip burn, I could taste the naga mmmm! The
super superhot "Wrath of god" has a nice almost smokiness and a decent level of heat for any true chillihead. Dave's sweet chilli on offer is good, even if its for the wife !. For me needed alittle more kick.
The HABANERO CON - has a great garlic after taste and hints of lime and ginger flavour. The great
thing is you can have as much as you want, & you wont feel it as much as some sauces in the morning!
Con: Market packaging vs label - These guys have done
a really good job on there hand produced cult labels, looks good in any collection. BUT the sealing system is to be desired,
cap is fine - but dose not have tamper system.
Overall: A very satisfying experience which offered good value and a great selection of hot sauces. I am going to be challenged to
find another back yard bangger in AUS with the variety of hot sauces on offer at these prices. And will support
them as they go commercial.
P.S TWO THUMBS UP DAVE ! We look forward to
the rest of your range ! The LUST sounds very seductive !
Disclaimer: THIS IS THE CHILLIMANS OPINION ONLY. "I review alot
of HOT HOT sauces for my site & reselling and never say no" - Thanx Chilliman !

on some chicken wings! Definitely keep this one in the collection"

SCORE: 9/10 " This is probably my favourite right now ! On pizza, icecream, ribs, salad, eggs, as a chocolate
dipI pulled it out after having a chilli craving - the wife had some chocolate (which I dont usually
like that much) So I asked for a corner and dunked away!! - I really liked this sauce, but after consuming nearly 1/2 a bottle
in one sitting on a bowl of icecream, i had issues the next morning........the sort of issues you luv & expect from a
gooood chilli sauce !!! " - two thumbs up Neil keep it up!!
